Tracy Marin | Co-Owner, Take The Wheel Driving School

Tracy Marin brings over 25 years of experience in Washington State vehicle licensing, customer service, and leadership to Take The Wheel Driving School.

Throughout her career, Tracy worked in vehicle licensing offices across Pierce and King counties, gaining extensive knowledge of Washington State licensing requirements and procedures. In 2019, she joined King County Licensing, where her dedication and strong work ethic led her from a customer service role to Inventory Specialist, managing inventory needs for 21 licensing offices, and ultimately to Supervisor of a King County Vehicle and Vessel Licensing office, overseeing a team of 12 employees.

After decades of public service, Tracy and her husband, Luis, followed their dream of building a family-owned business together. Today, Tracy helps lead the daily operations of Take The Wheel Driving School, bringing her experience, organizational skills, and passion for exceptional customer service to every aspect of the business.

Tracy believes that professionalism, patience, integrity, and genuine care for others are the foundation of a successful business. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where students and families feel supported throughout their driver education and licensing journey.

Luis Marin | Co-Owner & Driving Instructor

Luis Marin brings more than 20 years of experience in public safety and over 17 years of experience in driver training and safety education to Take The Wheel Driving School.

His professional background includes serving as a corrections officer, shift lieutenant, and tribal police officer. Throughout his career, Luis developed a strong foundation in safety, leadership, and helping others navigate challenging situations.

Today, Luis is a certified Washington State driving instructor, DOL Master Examiner, and fleet safety trainer. He provides driver education and testing in both English and Spanish, helping students of different backgrounds feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel.

His experience extends across the United States and Canada, where he has delivered driver safety and fleet training programs for law enforcement agencies, businesses, and other organizations.

As co-owner of Take The Wheel Driving School, Luis believes that learning to drive should be a positive, supportive experience. His patient, hands-on approach focuses on building safe driving habits, confidence, and lifelong skills—not simply passing a test.

Luis takes pride in helping students overcome their fears, develop independence, and become responsible drivers.
